As the word spreads about the LA Times article, we see more blog articles being created about the campaign. Some positive, some negative and some neutral. One blogger asks Do The Black Donnellys really deserve saving?
The answer to that question is yes. So I ask you, why do you want to see The Black Donnellys back on the air? Well, write down your reasons, then send a letter to HBO to let them know. Don't forget to include your explanations. We know that The Black Donnellys is a great show. Why is it a great show? Inform them.
If you'd like, you can also reply to the blogger's question and leave a comment.

Along with the week long contest that is running, here's your task for the day. This is perfect for TBD fans who liked the episode entitled "Run Like Hell".
The LA Times wrote an article entitled "TV cancellation hidden in a cloud of euphemism". In the article, the journalists includes this quote from Laurie Hutzler who was a staff writer for the episode entitled "Run Like Hell".
It's extremely important to maintain good relationships in Hollywood. The use of qualifying language is a way to soften the blow," said Laurie Hutzler, a visiting associate professor at UCLA and a former staff writer on NBC's recently canceled "The Black Donnellys." "Cancellation implies failure. More open-ended language implies the possibility of future success.
Send Laurie a message here: laurie@emotionaltoolbox.com. Let her know, she's right. We believe The Black Donnellys is headed for and deserves futures success.
Also, send Martin Miller from the LA Times a message about his article. His email is martin.miller@latimes.com
July 2 - July 9
It's a contest! Writing or contacting HBO will be our priority for the coming weeks as we sent our first shipment of crackers to HBO.
ILoveTommy from The Firecracker Lounge has challenged us all. She plans to send at least 20 snail mail letters and 20 emails to HBO. Who is up for some friendly competition?
Before sending your email to Ms. Carolyn Strauss at HBO, don't forget to send a copy of your email to this address info@savetheblackdonnellys.net so that way we know how many emails you have sent in total.
For snail mailings, as a Firecracker, you will be on the honor system. However, scanned pictures or images of your stamped letters will also help us determine a winner. You can send your images to info@savetheblackdonnellys.net as well.
The winner will receive a box of Irish cream crackers and four candy sweet items from Irish on Grand and a surprise gift.
All emails and letter images must be received by July 9th at 9:00AM CST. The winner will be announced on July 10th.

NBC only gave The Black Donnellys five episodes to capture the attention of audiences. If you could say anything about The Black Donnellys to convince anyone that a season two was worth considering in just five sentences, could you do it? What would would you say? Well, think about it. Write it down and send it to HBO, via their comment box, snail mail or email. If you haven't posted a review yet on Amazon.com, take those five sentences and post them now.
Right from HBO's Web site: How can I contact HBO to express my opinions about their programming? You may contact HBO's Consumer Affairs Department at 212-512-1208 Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM Eastern Time. You can also write to us using [this] link.
