Write and Send to HBO

We have jump-started our letter campaign and will be focusing our current efforts on HBO. We think The Black Donnellys would be a great fit for HBO programming, especially with the success demonstrated by shows like The Sopranos. *Why HBO and not NBC?

Those that support the series are such a diverse group of individuals and each has different resources (whether monetary or of time). Feel free to participate in one or all of these initiatives to do your part to Save The Black Donnellys. A description and the meaning of sending each product follows. This is a daily ongoing initiative, until The Black Donnellys return with a second season.

Send Shamrocks

Simply order the quantity you'd like, and have them shipped directly to the network with the "gift" message of your choice. Make sure to include a personal message about saving The Black Donnellys. Send Crackers

We have sent HBO two shipments of Zesta Saltines (19,200 crackers or 120 lbs) which arrived on July 9th and July 10th. Our third shipment, which included 300lbs of ShopRite Saltines crackers, was received on July 17th. We have sent a fourth shipment (250 lbs of ShopRite Saltines) with an estimated arrival date of August 3rd. This comes to a total of 107,200 crackers (670 lbs) sent to date.

Who has sent donations for crackers?

Many supporters of The Black Donnellys wanted to send Crackers to HBO in reference to The Firecracker Lounge, the fictional bar owned by the Donnelly Brothers to show their support for the show.

We have decided to purchase Zesta Crackers (which look just like the crackers on Jimmy's bar sign!) from Amazon.com: Crackers and have them delivered to Carolyn Strauss at HBO. In order to make a BIG impact and save on shipping we are accepting donations for the purpose of purchasing these crackers in bulk. If you prefer to purchase the crackers individually, you can also purchase Irish Cream Crackers from www.irishongrand.com. Visit their site and place your orders today! Before submitting your orders, be sure to include in the Comments Field: "For Saving The Black Donnellys" and your own personal message.

It does not matter what type of crackers you send or where they come from, we just need to get HBO's attention focused on The Black Donnellys. So please help out by sending crackers to HBO as often as you can. Plus, crackers can be donated by the network to food banks and/or soup kitchens.

Dear Ms. Carolyn Strauss,

I am writing this letter today to express my support in bringing back the recently cancelled NBC drama, The Black Donnellys, back on the air. I know that you have played a large part in adding great series such as The Sopranos and Oz to HBO's television programming. I hope this letter will create interest for you in investing in The Black Donnellys.

I'm aware that NBC will not do much more with this series. NBC will continue to have ratings woes as they continue to alienate their viewers with bad programming decisions. I would love to see this intelligent and intriguing drama survive. I hope you would be able to help.

The Black Donnellys has acquired a tremendous and loyal fan support. We have created a "Save The Black Donnellys" campaign and believe that series would be a great fit for HBO.
